Drugs

Obstetric medicine focuses on pre-conception, pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. It is usually a combined specialty with gynaecology (OB/GYN).

This module contains information about some of the most commonly used drug classes in obstetric medicine, including antiemetics, antacids, antihistamines, analgesics, antimicrobials, diuretics, and the drugs that are used to promote cervical ripening and induce labour.
